What co-owner diannetucker likes most about providing ongoing blues entertainment is how varied and exciting blues music is. Though many young or inexperienced blues fans may associate the music only with mournful songs of despair, Tucker likes the fact that blues musicians have created a deep reservoir of great songs, many of them being songs of celebration and joy. "The blues has some of the best party music," Tucker maintains. Tuckers’ Blues' first show, titled Royal Blues, ran for five weekend nights and profiled the royal figures of the blues: those iconic blues figures who wore royal titles, like queen or king of the blues, mother and father of the blues, etc. Beginning in late October, 2009, Tuckers'  presented Blues Thrillers: not only those blues songs that could be considered Halloween themed (MoJo Working, Hoochie Coochie Man etc) but also those blues songs that make you wave your arm in the air, holler loud or jump up dancing are songs these club owners label ‘thrillers.’ Subsequent themed shows featured holiday blues songs, blues love songs and songs labeleled 'low down dirty blues.' Tuckers has also had shows centered on R&B or jazz artists with blues roots. "There are many blues themes to explore," Tuckers' co-owner Larry Tuckers stated.
 
Tuckers'  has also produced original one character shows in tribute to music icons.  Its first show, a tribute to Etta James titled "Simply Etta" ran for 12 performances (beginning in November 2010) and garnered glowing reviews.  Tuckers' second tribute was Billie Holiday, titled "Billie's Blues"  (in Spring 2011). This show focused on the great blues songs in Holiday's repertoire, including songs Billie Holiday wrote herself.  "Billie's Blues" had six SRO performances in New York at the Iridium Jazz Club in the summer of 2011 and early 2012. Other tribute shows are planned, including Janis Joplin, Big Mama Thornton, and Sam Cooke.

For Christmas  each year, Tuckers' offers its patrons some of those wonderful holiday classics that have set the tone of countless family holiday celebrations for generations. Tuckers' Blues is also available for  bookings including corporate or holiday parties, private parties and other special events, according to Tuckers owner, Roland Young. Roland  and Larry Tucker spent months restoring the interior of this Deep Ellum location. The building that was formerly the home of Blue Cat Blues has been restored significantly. Roland has selected and framed portraits of blues legends lining the walls of this bar. Many of the prints are the work of noted artist  Bruni Sablan, and a number of original works are by Dallas area artist Lori Ann Fitzgerald.  There are also captivating larger-than-life size oil paintings of music giants. Even old blues album covers are framed and hung in the club, adding eye-catching photos of other blues legends. The old building in Deep Ellum where Tuckers' is located has several unique features including a roof garden patio area for smokers, and an off-the-street location, not unlike an old blues hideaway from another era.
 
From the very first night, Tuckers' Blues patrons have raved about the unique entertainment, exceptional service and ideal location. Every weekend night, diannetucker tells stories about  giants of the blues, sharing info with patrons they may have never heard before, about blues figures we all think we know well. As part of its ongoing commitment to honoring blues artists, Tuckers' also occasionally selects and honors a local living blues legend. The first honoree was Dallas area blues man Lucky Peterson.
